L'Escapade campsite is tucked away in Cahagnolles, a tiny village in Normandy with a church and a handful of houses, and is the perfect peaceful location for your camping trip. Here you'll be camping along a lake that is great for both swimming and fishing. The partially terraced campsite has a park-like feel and very spacious pitches. The swimming pool on the campsite has a sliding roof, so you can still go for a refreshing dip in less than wonderful weather.
Camping par excellenceThe campsite features 43 spacious, touring pitches and 5 separate pitches for campers. The grass surface on the site is well maintained. The paths are paved and wide. The 36 rental accommodation units are spread out and are composed of large tents and mobile homes.
This is an excellent campsite for longer stays, but also makes for a great pit stop if you are travelling along the south west coast of France. Swimming in the pool and the lakeThe heated swimming pool (180 m2) is located near the reception area, the sports field and the tennis court. It is covered with glass roofing. Of course, we open this up during summer weather. The swimming pool has a rather straightforward design. However, there is a slide (10 metres) for the children to enjoy. The lake, which also offers fishing, is located right next to the entrance of the campsite. Delicious menusThe restaurant at L'Escapade is a small, charming restaurant with an appealing design. For instance, the bar is made of stacked wine crates. The menu is modest, but everything is high quality! You can also take your meals away. The pizzeria is open in July and August as well. There is another nice restaurant in Lingèvres , ten kilometres away. The camping shop is quite small, but does offer fresh bread every day.
