Le Picard is a small, green campsite in Tournières, in the Calvados region. You camp here in the beautiful countryside of Normandy. The campsite is located in the centre of the village, behind an old farmhouse. There is a small lake near the campsite. The campsite is small and basic, but the service and quality of the amenities are very good. Enjoy the heated swimming pool, the playground and the restaurant.
Camping or renting? When you drive to your pitch, you will see well-maintained grounds with grass surface in front of you. The number of pitches is limited here (35). There are pitches with and without demarcation. The degree of shade also varies for each pitch. Some pitches have no grass, but a pebble and crushed stone surface instead. The 21 rental accommodation units on Camping Le Picard are owned by people who stay here regularly. Three of them are available for rental. Mini swimming pool and lakeThe swimming pool is small but adequate. It measures some 5 x 10 m and is open from mid-June to the end of August. The swimming pool lies directly behind the restaurant. The lake is located near the entrance of the campsite. You are allowed to fish here, but you have to return your catch to the water.A simple French mealYou can enjoy a good meal at the restaurant of Le Picard. This has a cosy ambiance. It is a simple establishment, more like a canteen. You can order a 'menu simple' here, but in France, 'simple' often means delicious. There is no campsite shop, but in July and August, you can get daily fresh bread.
