Camping Lido Verbano is situated on the south side of the Lago Maggiore, in the town of Castelletto sopra Ticino. Although Lido Verbano is situated on a busy road, this is not really noticeable on the campsite. The pitches are located quite a distance away from the road, in the direction of the lake.
Spacious campsiteThe campsite is extensive and spacious and the pitches are large, level and clearly demarcated. Lido Verbano does not offer much in the way of amenities; the campsite depends mainly on its favourable location on Lago Maggiore and the many water sports opportunities. The lively town of Arona is close by and has a number of restaurants and pavement cafes by the lake.Sunbathing at the Lago MaggioreThe first impression Lido Verbano gives you is that it is cared for and well maintained. This applies to the pitches, but also to the rental accommodation (slightly older chalets in a section with lots of shade). There is no swimming pool on the campsite, but you can, of course, swim in the lake, where you will find a beach with lawn and a beach bar on the shore.Enjoy the sportsCamping Lido Verbano offers the camper a number of sports facilities such as a soccer field, tennis court, basket ball and beach volley ball field and a pétanque court. If you wish you can also do wakeboarding on the lake.Cosy restaurantThe campsite also has a bar and a small-scale restaurant with friendly service. There is a supermarket diagonally across from the campsite. Besides, the road to Arona is littered with shopping centres and all kinds of megastores, so you can buy virtually anything here.
