Camping Orta has been located on the east side of rustic Lake Orta since 1959. The lake in the province of Piedmont, to the west of larger Lago Maggiore, is known as one of the quietest lakes in the area. The well maintained campground is on both sides of the road running around the lake. The two parts of the campground are connected with each other via a pedestrian tunnel.
Italian hospitalityAfter the barrier, you will arrive on the lively square where you will find the reception, the bar and the little playground. Carlo and his daughter are always nearby to welcome campers or to help in their hospitable manner.Always a beautiful viewCamping Orta has two types of campsites. Right on the lake, you'll camp with private access to the water. The sites are not very spacious, but have a priceless view as soon as you step outside in the morning. There are also larger sites on the terraces of the campground. These sites are on one side of the narrow gravel and grass paths, so everyone has a lovely panorama. If you choose a place up top, the campground owner will bring your caravan up.Passion in the kitchenThe campground shop is little but perfect, and each day there are wonderful fresh rolls. They cook any dish you choose from the small menu with love in the new restaurant with charming terrace.One of the charms of Campint Orta is that there is no activities programme. However, there are more than enough options for fun in the beautiful surroundings.
