Near Lago Maggiore, on the small Lago di Mergozzo near the village of Fondotoce you'll find Camping La Quiete. This is a small, simple campground with its own beach on the lake. Those who come here come for the beautiful surroundings that have much to offer. Primarily the lakes and mountains. The mountains are partly located in the Val Grande national park, where you can take wonderful hikes.
Small scaleThe first impression is of a small scale, orderly and clean camping. The site is well cared for and the campsites have sufficient space, but are not demarcated. Mobile homes, caravans and bungalows can also be rented. don't expect luxury here, because the facilities on the campground are very simple.There is a bar with a charming terrace for a drink. There is also a small store. In addition, there is also a restaurant/pizzeria with a small menu and a playground for the children. There are also various sports facilities (including volleyball, badminton, jeu-de-boules). The lack of a swimming pool is compensated by a sunbathing area and a beach on Lago di Mergozzo. Motorboats are prohibited on this lake, which is only 2.5 x 1 km, so the water is very clean.Sanitary facilitiesThe facilities are simple, but of good quality and very clean.In the areaMergozzo (4 km from the campground) is a picturesque old village, with the central square looking out over the lake. To the north of Lago di Mergozzo there is an expansive national park, Val Grande, where you can take lovely hikes, such as from Cicogna (17 km from the campground).
