Camping Simmerschmelz is in a somewhat remote location, in a hilly area amidst the forests of the Eisch Valley and approx. 2 km from the village of Septfontaines. The Eisch Valley, together with the Mamer Valley, is a part of the largest nature reserve of Luxembourg. This beautiful spot is crossed by numerous cycling and walking paths.
Great camping amidst greeneryThe camping area is split up in several fields. They are separated from each other by trees and bushes. A large part of the pitches is reserved for permanent guests. The tourist pitches are located on the east side at the back of the camping site. The majority of the pitches is rather compact, although a few fairly large pitches are also available. The grounds look very green due to the trees, the bushes, the grass and the forest which starts on the periphery of the camping site.Swimming pool with lawnThe camping site is mostly frequented by slightly older camping guests and overnight guests. During summer holidays you will also find many families with children. During that time all kinds of fun activities are organised for children. The swimming pool is yet an additional attraction and is centrally located in a sunny spot. The pool is surrounded by a large lawn and located next to a playground.Fresh rollsThe camping site is in a fairly remote location. Therefore, it is handy to know that the small shop stocks the basic necessities. In July and August you can also get fresh rolls. There is a restaurant (reasonably-sized menu) with a terrace overlooking the playground and the lawn behind it.
