Paradiescamping Wolfgangsee Birkenstrand

In the touristy area of the southern part of the crystal clear Wolfgangsee lies Paradiescamping Wolfgangsee Birkenstrand. The campsite is located halfway between the towns of Sankt Gilgen en Abersee, both less than five km away. The Wolfgangsee in the vicinity of the campsite is a lovely place for families with young children. The reason is that you can walk quite a distance into the lake before it gets deeper.

Spacious campsiteEverything on Paradiescamping Wolfgangsee Birkenstrand is well organised and the spacious pitches are clearly demarcated. You can choose between pitches with and without shade. Please note that the pitches on the water's edge have the least amount of shade. The grounds have a hard grass surface and any potholes are immediately filled. The owners also have luxury rental studios and apartments. These are not located on the camping site but in Sankt Gilgen, some five km down the road.Active and sportyThe Wolfgangsee has a pebble beach. Being able to walk into the water for quite a stretch before it gets really deep is an added bonus (bring you water shoes). Snorkelling, windsurfing and waterskiing are all allowed on the lake. Furthermore, this is a great area to explore by bicycle... Most routes are not very steep and are quite easy to negotiate.Small kioskThere is a small kiosk on the camping site for the basic essentials, also for daily fresh bread. The rest of your shopping can be done in Sankt Gilgen or Abersee. Unfortunately, there is no restaurant on this camping site. However, the take-away pizzeria makes up for this lack...
