Campsite Linz am Pichlingersee (Upper Austria) is a campsite along the A1/E60 Linz-Wenen. Its convenient and central location makes it especially suitable for travellers passing through on their way to Hungary, Slovenia or Germany. The well-tended camping grounds are situated along the Pichlingersee, a fine lake for water sports and swimming. The campsite looks well-maintained, but there are few facilities (with the exception of the excellent sanitary facilities). Fine grass pitches but also lots of traffic noise.
All the pitches are level, well-tended and clearly marked. The pitches are spacious enough and are all roughly the same size. Everyone is pitched on grass. Here, you will find campers from all over Europe, but also permanent guests. The campsite, however, is mostly used as a stopover campsite for campers travelling to Vienna or Hungary, to Carinthia or Slovenia or to the town of Linz. There are a couple of caravans available for rent.Take a dipThe recreational lake Pichlingersee is situated directly next to the campsite. The lake is freely accessible, but dogs are not allowed. There is not much for children to do on the campsite other than playing in the lake.Sanitary facilitiesThe sanitary facilities are surprising. They are clean, modern and luxuriously furnished in original colours. There are also excellent separate facilities for the disabled. Washing machines and dryers are also available; convenient for when you're stopping through.
