Nestled in the mountains and situated between pine forests and along a shallow river, lies Camping La Ferme de Castellane. This is a beautifully located oasis of peace, a few km from the attractive town of Castellane. The camping site is also ideally located for visiting the Gorges du Verdon.
Well-kept and neatly laid out groundsThe reception is located in the attractive building of an old water mill. La Ferme de Castellane is a campsite with relatively little luxury, but everything is well cared for and neatly laid out. The attractive camping grounds radiate peace and tranquillity even when fully occupied. The pitches on grass have ample shade. These are playfully laid out and vary in size, but are generally sufficiently large for your camping equipment. The campsite also has a number of mobile homes and chalets.The sanitary facilities of the campsite are modern and immaculate, complete with a shower area for the disabled as well as a baby bath.Shallow stream adjacent to the campsiteEntertainment on the campsite is available in the form of an illuminated pétanque pitch and some very clean playground equipment for children. There is also a small, shallow stream where you can paddle safely. There is a weekly barbecue with music for all guests. The communal room is located in a log cabin.Pizzas from the ovenThe campsite does not have a restaurant. You can find eating establishments in nearby Castellane. However, fresh rolls are available each morning (have to be ordered). Occasionally, pizzas are baked in the oven on the premises. You can do your shopping in a supermarket just ten minutes away by car.
