Camping Le Mas de Mourgues is a small-scale attractive campsite near the village of Vauvert in the Herault, a lovely area for some nice trips. Explore nature or visit a historic town or village. The nearby nature reserve, the Camargue, is renowned for its large number of bird species. Wild horses and bulls are also well represented in the marshy nature reserve. Le Mas de Mourgues is a family campsite with several fields, an abundance of flowers and a small swimming pool.
Cosy campsite with different pitchesOn the attractive campsite you have a choice of different open fields, all looking beautiful and well maintained. Some pitches with more shade than the next. In high season it is a real family campsite and in low season it is mainly frequented by senior citizens who like walking or cycling.Happy hourThe small swimming pool is centrally located on the grounds. You can swim at a beach some 10 km away. The camping shop and bar are basic, but sitting on the terrace with a view of the campsite is enjoyable. They also have happy hour at 18h00 each afternoon! You can do your shopping some 4 km away. There are two sanitary buildings with vegetation on the roof. The sanitary facilities look neat and are currently being renovated. Cultural and sporty outingsFrom the campsite you can, for instance, cycle to Aigues-Mortes, a historic fortified town, the former point of departure of the crusades. Day trips to Arles (tip: weekends are very busy) or Montpellier are also recommended.
