Just inside Savoie, bordering the Haute Savoie and close to St. Pierre-d’Albigny, you will find the picturesque Camping Lac de Carouge. The campsite is situated on the lake with the same name. The Haute-Savoie is a very mountainous region which includes the Mont Blanc massif on the Italian/French border. The campsite therefore forms an excellent base for excursions in this challenging region.
Nature, Confort or PrivilègeOn the grounds you can choose between pitches of 90-140 m2 in the categories ‘Nature’, ‘Confort’ (= ‘Nature’ + electricity) or ‘Privilège’ (= ‘Confort’ + water). This makes the campsite ideal for an extended stay. It is advisable to book your preference in advance (online) to secure your pitch. In peak season the choice will be limited when you arrive unexpectedly. The campsite also has chalets and mobile homes for rental, all with their own shower/toilet.For the childrenCamping Lac de Carouge is very suitable for families with (young) children, with lots of activities organised by the enthusiastic camping employees. Each day (excluding Saturdays) there is a Kids Club and sports and games activities are organised for the slightly older children. In addition, camping guests have free access to the nearby municipal swimming pool (800 m). Naturally, you can also swim (supervised in summer), go pedal boating or fishing in the lake.ActivitiesEach week special mountain excursions are organised (at a fee) under the supervision of qualified guides. For instance, mountain excursions on a via ferrata (secured climbing trip) or canyoning along wildly churning brooks and rivers.
