On the recreational Lake Bourget in Aix-les-Bains you will find the well organised municipal campsite Du Sierroz, within walking distance of the harbour and the centre. Aix-les-Bains is a wellness resort and a tourist attraction due to the natural spring water. The campsite is an attractive base for hikers, cyclists and water sport enthusiasts.
Shaded terrainThe spacious pitches (90-110 m2) are located along straight streets and are demarcated with hedges. Most pitches on grass are provided with shade by high trees. You are allowed to select your own pitch here. The campsite also has a number of mobile homes available for rent. There is a small playground for children, but no entertainment programme. There is a table tennis table and a pétanque court.Short walk to Aix-les-BainsThere is no shop on the campsite. Due to renovations there are also no facilities such as a bar or restaurant for the time being. Fortunately, it is only a short walk or bus ride to Aix-les-Bains, where there is a wide choice of eating establishment and shops.Beautiful tripsIn the vicinity of the campsite you can make trips in the mountains and along lakes, green fields and vineyards. There are several signposted cycling routes you can follow. At the reception you can rent (electric) bicycles and mountain bikes.Lake BourgetIt take approximately ten minutes to walk to Lake Bourget. It is suitable for swimming, sailing, kayaking, waterskiing and diving. No own equipment? No problem! Surf boards, canoes and sailboards can be rented here. The lake is a good spot to learn windsurfing, waterskiing and sailing. You can relax on the pebble beach or on the lawn.
