Wies-Neu in Dillingen is a well-maintained large family campsite located along the banks of the river Sûre. Germany is on the other side. The campsite is long, so you have plenty of opportunities to camp along the water. Around the campsite there are numerous walking and cycling paths.
Camping by the riverOn the quiet and well maintained property of nearly 5 hectares, you'll find the section with the seasonal campers separated from that of the touring pitches. The touring pitches are located on "the first part" on the water side. The "second section" is park like, with high trees. Demarcated by paint lines on the road.Fun for childrenIn principle you can have fun safely on the river. Children can jump into the water from the bridge or bank and float with their boat or inflatable mattress all the way to the end of the campsite. Do note the water levels, they determine whether the river becomes more wild. Asking at the reception is handy...There is also fun in the form of a children's farm with rabbits, goats and horses. Great for kids to learn more about these animals!Jump on your bikeThe camping shop only has the necessities, such as daily fresh bread. To do your shopping or sit on a terrace, take your bike (or car) to Dillingen, Bollendorf, Echternach or Diekirch. There is only a snack bar on the campsite. The pizzeria in Dillingen is good, and only a few minutes away on foot.
