About this stopover

Motorhomes and campervans can park overnight at some of our car parks on a first come first served basis with no awnings, pop-up toilet or any other type of tent, or camping cars are permitted.

A small charge for staying the night will apply at our participating car parks with the use of the onsite parking meter or honesty box.

Glenvale Path is one of the most remote and rugged parts of the Lomond Hills. The path follows the dramatic Glen Burn Gorge to West Lomond. The area is rich in geology, wildlife and folklore and includes a number of strangely eroded sandstone rock formations including the Bunnet Stane, John Knox’s Pulpit and Carlin Maggie. Legend says that Carlin Maggie was turned to stone when the devil threw a lightning bolt at her.

Only suitable for smaller motorhomes
