Within walking distance of the town of Thiviers, in a park-like area, you will find the quiet family camping Le Repaire. The campsite is close to a lake with a sandy beach where you can swim. Guests are very impressed with this beautifully located campsite with great facilities. A special feature of this campsite (9 ha in size) is that pilgrims like to spend the night here in a 'pilgrims refuge': it is located on the road from Vézelay to Santiago de Compostella.
Spacious site At Le Repaire you have a choice between spacious pitches (120-150 m2), on grassland and demarcated with small hedges. Poplars, oaks, cherries and pine trees provide ample shade or somewhat less shade. Several wooden rental homes can be rented as well.Entertainment for allThe heated swimming pool (150 m2) is partly covered with a sliding roof. There is a separate toddler pool. There is a table tennis table and a jeu-de-boule pitch. Competitions are organised here on a regular basis. You can borrow rackets, balls and shuttles from the reception. A small fee is payable for billiards as well as for the tennis court at the nearby Nantheuil recreational lake. At this lake, complete with sandy beaches and lawns, part of the water has been sectioned off. Therefore, children can safely swim here. There is a lovely playground. The campsite also has its own playground. In the recreation area lovely activities are organised twice weekly in English and French.Dancing on summer eveningsIn summer great activities such as rock concerts, dance evenings, theme evenings and kids parties are regularly organised on the terrace.
