The southern French family camping Le Malazéou is situated in the Pyrenees, along the access road to Health Spa Ax-les-Thermes. In winter the ski areas are nearby, in summer the area offers excellent walking opportunities. Here you will find peace and quiet, the historic Cathar region and the access road to Andorra and Spain. An ideal region for numerous outdoor sports.
Wooded terrainThe mostly flat, wooded terrain lies between the foothills of the Pyrenees. The shallow, fast-flowing river Ariège flows adjacent to the campsite and a small creek winds its way through the grounds. The grounds are well-kept. The sizes of the pitches vary and depend on the size of your camping equipment. You can choose between a spot in the sun or in a (partly) shaded area. The tent pitches are located on the hill. Do you prefer rental accommodation? You have a choice of 73 mobile homes.Outdoor swimming poolThe heated outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by greenery: a combination of trees and hedges. You will find loungers and some sun umbrellas around the pool. The swimming pool is not very large but is to the liking of most guests.Outdoor adventure sportsFacilities include an outdoor playground, a sauna with steam bath, a fitness area and fitness track, two beautiful jeu de boules pitches, a brand new mini-golf course and bad-weather facilities. There are activities for children and an entertainment programme for adults. Do you love the outdoors? The area offers ample opportunity for outdoor activities: walking, mountain biking, bicycle racing, horse riding, climbing, paragliding, canyoning, canoeing and rafting are all possible.Lively barIn the convivial bar (managed by another owner) you can enjoy a drink as well as basic, delicious French regional dishes. You can order fresh bread at the campsite.
