A location along the lovely spring river Werra with forested mountains as a background and the historic town of Hannoversch Müden nearby: this is the fantastic location of Spiegelberg Camping and Gasthouse. The surrounding area offers idyllic river landscapes and endless forests where you can cycle and wander for hours. The art city of Kassel is not far away.
Along the riverThe grounds are flat, spacious, well laid out and is perfectly maintained. It extends along the river. The tents, caravans and campers are all on good grassy ground. There is no delineation between the sites. Guests can choose a spot with or without shade. There is also hotel accommodation and there are fully furnished bungalow tents for hire.Beautiful viewIn the hotel of Spiegelberg Camping and Gasthaus, there is a restaurant with simple cuisine and changing (seasonal) dishes. It also has a terrace with a beautiful view of the lovely surroundings. Groceries are in limited supply at the campsite.Sanitary facilitiesThe sanitation building is great and is kept sufficiently clean. There is a street between the sanitation building and the campsite.Live musicIn the hotel there is sometimes live music and every first Saturday of the month is pancake day. For city fun, you need to go to the nearby historic town of Hannoversch Münden, about 7.5 k away. Hikers and cyclists will love the surrounding area. For cyclists, there are four long cycling routes from Hannoversch Münden along the Weser, Werra and Fulda rivers. The river Werra also offers fun for paddlers in canoes or kayaks.
