In the Transylvania region, in the heart of Romania, you will find Camping Perla Lacului. This small-scale campsite is a wonderful camping destination for those looking for peace and quiet. The green campsite is nice and quiet, the surroundings of the campsite are nicely wooded. Within walking distance is Lacul Ursu, one of the large salt lakes in the area. This health resort in the tourist town Sovata also has some mud baths. You're going to be floating around on the salt lake and smearing yourself with mud!
Quiet camping destination At camping Perla Lacului you can go wherever you want. On the grass of the campsite there is room for about 35 touring pitches. When it's busy, the pitches are a bit smaller. If it's not busy, you have all the space you need. On this campsite it is always nice and quiet. Swimming pool or beach?The swimming pool in Sovata is called 'beach' in Romania. Make no mistake, there is no beach. But there is a nice swimming pool. At about 200 meters from the campsite you can take a dip in the water. Just laying on a sheltered spot is also possible. Facilities in SovataThere are not many facilities on the campsite. The sanitary facilities are on the side of the central house. If you walk up a small staircase, you'll reach the toilets and showers. They look clean and well taken care of. For shops you have to walk a little further. Less than a mile to be exactly. Then you reach the supermarket and a fresh bakery in the centre of Sovata. There are also several restaurants.
