Leiputrija is a small-scale campsite, centrally located in Latvia at some 25 km from the capital Riga. You camp here in a predominantly flat, rural and wooded area. The Gauja river flows a few hundred metres from the campsite. The campsite offers a broad range of activities and excursions, such as trips with a quad, canoe, kart or buggy.
Camping in natureThe 35 demarcated camping pitches at Leiputrija offer ample space for your camping equipment. The grounds consist mainly of grass. There are some spots where it is possible to camp between trees. Two separate sections are reserved for tent campers.Wooden rental accommodationsIn addition to camping pitches, rental accommodation units including a mobile home and basic log cabins are also available. These vary considerably in size (9-25 m2) and can house two to eight persons. Prefer a bit more luxury? If so, choose one of the rooms. Depending on which room you book, you will have private sanitary facilities and shared facilities such as a sauna, recreational area and patio.Entertainment and amenitiesCamping Leiputrija has everything you need for an active holiday. Sports grounds (basketball, volleyball, soccer), a playground, seven fishing ponds, the Gauja river (ideal for canoeing) and a wide range of excursions. Rent a bike, quad, kart or buggy to explore the nature-rich area. The campsite also organises canoe and kayak trips. You can also get onto the water with a pedalo. The sanitary facilities are excellent. There is a communal kitchen, ideal for tent campers. Fresh bread is available from the small shop at the reception.
