The basic and rurally located Campsite Puchner lies on the Danube, in the town of Feldkirchen. The immediate surroundings are green and flat. Many cyclists visit the Upper Austria region and like to follow the beautiful routes along the well-known river. Adjacent to the campsite you will find a golf course and also the four so-called Badeseen, four lakes which are ideal for swimming.
Your pitchThe thirty touring pitches are spacious, although they vary in size. You camp here on a beautiful grass surface. The facilities are basic, but fine. There is no rental accommodation available for tourists. The permanent pitches are fully booked, mainly by Dutch and German guests.Golfing or swimming?Adjacent to the camping site, on the Danube cycle route, are the four so-called Badeseen. They are only a short walk away (100 m). There are beaches, beach showers and sunbathing lawns. The four lakes are small and have different features each. Please note that local residents also like to visit the lakes, especially on weekends. Do not feel like swimming? There is a beautiful golf course next to the camping site.Dining in a ‘Mostheuriger’There is no camping site shop on the grounds, although there is a fresh bread and breakfast service. Fortunately, there are a few supermarkets in Feldkirchen (2 km). The restaurant on the camping site is a ‘Mostheuriger’. This means that the kitchen works with regional products and local wines. The restaurant, with the typical Austrian decor, opens a few days a week. Not to worry, there are more restaurants in the immediate vicinity.
