The modest but very well maintained Camping de l’Ile Verte boasts a beautiful setting: on the bay of Mont Saint-Michel, some 30 km west of the famous tidal island. The campsite is quiet and modestly-sized and borders the friendly houses of Saint-Benoît-des-Ondes, a picturesque coastal town which is not only convenient for shopping, but also great to visit. The beach is a stone's throw away from the campsite.
Camping with childrenThe spacious pitches are all neatly maintained and separated by trimmed hedges. They are located on a fine grass surface. They all have a certain degree of privacy. The twenty-odd rental accommodation units are on a separate section. The chalets are modern in design (with small garden or veranda) and have a lovely kitchen. Your fellow campers are mostly young families. Hence there is a nice range of playground equipment for children.Water! The campsite has a medium-sized, heated swimming pool under a plexiglass tunnel cover. You can therefore also swim on a cool day. The spacious toddler pool, complete with fun slides, is brand new (2018). Lovers of the sea only have to walk a few hundred metres. Enjoy eating oystersThe campsite has a basic eating establishment. Choose something nice from the small menu. The atmosphere is very amiable here, especially on the terrace! The mostly local specialities are tasty and very affordable. You will also find some nice restaurants in the village. Camping de l’Ile Verte does not have a shop, although fresh bread is available daily. In Cancale, at a distance of some 9 km, there is a large supermarket.
