In La Spezia, in a valley on the Ligurian coast, you will find camping La Sfinge. This simple terraced campsite is an ideal operating base from which to visit Cinque Terre and Portofino. The free shuttle bus takes you in less than ten minutes to Deiva Marina, where you'll find not only the train station, but also the beach.
Popular with tent campersLa Sfinge is a friendly campsite with limited space. On less than two hectares you'll find over a hundred touring pitches, twenty permanent pitches and almost forty rental accommodations. Therefore the pitches are tight, but they do differ in size. Because they are hardly delimited, you unfortunately have less privacy. The terrain is sloping, with many terraces and stairs.On the lower part of the campsite there are pitches for caravans and camper vans. The tent pitches are higher, on shady terraces. From the higher part of the campsite you have a beautiful view over the valley.For a short stayAlthough it is often busy at the campsite, especially in high season, it is always quiet. Most campers only come here to shower and sleep. On the campsite itself there is not much to do. There is no swimming pool, entertainment or restaurant, not even a campsite shop. Luckily there is a supermarket and an Italian restaurant at hundred meters from the campsite.Clean sanitary facilitiesThe sanitary facilities on the campsite are excellent: a bit dated, but spotless, with nice showers. Do you want to relax for a day? The shuttle bus will take you to Deiva Marina beach in ten minutes.
