In the south of the Peel, the excavated upland moor area on the border of Noord Brabant and Limburg, space and nature rule supreme. Camping De Peelpoort is situated on the edge of a wood and is a convenient base to explore this area. The extensive network of walking and cycling trails lends itself to great walking or cycling trips.
Luxury and spaceThe camping site was re-established in 2014. This has been done very tastefully. The reception is modern, the site is spaciously laid out. Despite the sleek design of paved roads, the camping site exudes a natural, peaceful atmosphere. However, the vegetation is still very young, offering little shade. The camping site is mainly frequented by senior citizens who like nature and their creature comforts.Campers can choose between a basic pitch on the Trekkersveld, also called Turfveld, or one of the spacious comfort pitches located at the edge of the woods. The pitches for camper vans are located near the new, luxuriously designed sanitary building. Overnight guests without their own camping equipment can also stay at De Peelpoort. The overnight accommodation includes the Peelhut, a luxury chalet for four to six persons.Pleasant atmosphereFor a bite to eat, you can go to the attractively furnished brasserie 't Turfke, which is open throughout the season for breakfast, lunch or dinner. In warm weather you may want to look for a free spot on the terrace. There is no shop on the camping site. There is a supermarket in Heusden, some 2 km away.
