Campsite Höllensteinsee

Camping Höllensteinsee is a paradise on earth. The young couple that manages the campsite, is full of enthusiasm to perfect this campsite. They have planned a renovation of the buildings during 2019. The campsite is in an idyllic location in the Bavarian Forest: on a promontory in a curving, wide section of the Regen River, where the lake is called the Höllensteinsee. Experience nature in optima formaYou can select your own pitch, level and not demarcated. There are some 1400 pitches, half of which directly on the water. There are a large number of trees on the grounds, although the pitches are rather open. This is an ideal camping site to experience nature, peace and fun! You can moor your canoe or kayak directly next to your pitch, so to speak. The camping site does not offer alternative rental accommodation.Water activitiesCamping guests consist largely of seekers of peace and nature such as anglers, swimmers and canoeists. In short: campers who like to enjoy themselves near water. In the holiday periods you will find many families and groups. Swimming and snorkelling in the lake is allowed. Favourite pastimes, however, are canoeing, rafting and fishing. Swimming in deep water is not recommended here, certainly not for the youngest swimmers. There is also no beach.CateringAt the current reception you will find a small canteen with limited menu. You can enjoy a meal and drinks at picnic tables under a canopy. There is not (as yet) a camping shop. Who knows..they may still build one. You can, however, get fresh bread.
