Camping O Moinho is a small campsite near the town of Castanheira de Pêra, in the district of Leiria. The campsite is situated directly on the beautiful river Pêra, at the foot of the Serra de Lousã mountain range. In this river, a beautiful swimming area has been created. You can also swim in a large outdoor pool close to the campsite. This is an ideal campsite for those looking for peace and quiet and nature lovers.
Choose your own pitchAs a whole, Camping O Moinho makes a well-maintained impression. What is special is that you decide where you want to stand. In principle, no pitches are allocated. Almost all the pitches are quite spacious, shady and separated from each other in a natural way. There are also tents, caravans and mobile homes for hire.Bathing in the riverThe river that runs along the campsite is an excellent place for a refreshing dip. This river has a depth of 30 centimetres, ideal for children to romp around in. There are even handy facilities for getting in and out of the water. Do you prefer swimming in a pool? Then fortunately the large swimming paradise Praia das Rocas is nearby. This wave pool, the largest in Portugal, is only three kilometres from the campsite. At the campsite you will find a bar with a small terrace at reception. There are also four large barbecues for campers to use free of charge. It is also convenient that a baker comes to the campsite every morning in July and August. Close to the campsite, next to the river, is a restaurant where snacks and menus are available.
