On the Adriatic coast, roughly halfway between San Benedetto del Tronto and Pescara, lies Camping Villaggio Gilda. You are here in the Abruzzo region, where the mountainous interior (with the highest Apennine mountains in Italy) forms a lovely contrast with the coastal region. The campsite is located near Roseto, a seaside resort with wide sandy beaches, a beautiful beach boulevard and numerous shops, hotels, and campsites.
Small-scale and friendlyCamping Villaggio Gilda is a small-scale campsite with few seasonal pitches. The campsite makes a welcoming impression, both in appearance and in ambiance. Besides the pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, there are also a few rental accommodation units such as homes and mobile homes.Beautiful, child-friendly beachGilda does not have a swimming pool but is situated directly next to a sandy beach which gradually slopes down to the sea. This makes it ideal for children. You can play a game of beach volleyball there, and it's also perfect for a relaxing walk along the beach. At the beach is also a welcoming bar where you can enjoy a drink while enjoying the beautiful sea view.Dine at the campsite or in RosetoThe campsite has a restaurant-bar-pizzeria (with takeaway). You will find a supermarket 100 metres from the campsite. The centre of Roseto has many more shops and eating establishments. Good to know: the campsite provides a free shuttle service and rents out bicycles. In the peak season, Gilda offers the usual entertainment programme for all ages, with sports and games during the day and dancing and live music in the evenings.Sanitary facilitiesThe sanitary facilities are modern and well-maintained. There are separate sanitary facilities for children and for the disabled. There is also a dog shower.
