Slovenia and the Adriatic Adria Resort in Ankaran is located in a narrow part of Slovenia on the Adriatic Sea, between the beautiful Istrian peninsular (Croatia) and the town of Trieste in the most easterly part of Italy.   Discovery tour of Slovenia A wonderful region for camping holidays with sun, sea and sand, but also an area with plenty of lovely places to discover. The Slovenian lakes and mountains, the unspoilt countryside and the coast with the old harbour town of Koper, from where boats depart to Ancona and Brindisi. Koper is just a few kilometres from the campsite.   Complete campsite Adria Resort itself is a very big campsite but thanks to the many trees and pathways it has a friendly and intimate feel. The amenities are what you would expect from a complete campsite: there are good toilet facilities, a shop, supermarket, tennis courts, minigolf, table tennis, a wellness centre, playground, beach showers and even a first aid post. For good food and drinks, there is no lack of things to do. There are two restaurants and three bars to choose from.   Giant swimming pool and shallow sea The main attraction at Adria Resort is the giant swimming pool with separate pools for smaller swimmers. But you can walk straight from the camp site to the quay with a jetty for boats and to the beach. The water is dark blue and shallow by the beach. Ideal for families with young children!
