A white water course in the Tuscan hills A dream location close to the beach? You can stay in luxurious glamping accommodation at Vallicella Glamping Resort in the heart of Maremma region. The enormous swimming and leisure pool is the highlight for every swimmer, and the Kids Club is a favourite with the youngest ones. You can be by the sea or in one of the medieval towns such as Massa Marittima or Populonia within 20 minutes. When you get back you can get something to eat at the campsite restaurant. This campsite has it all!   Glamping among the cypress trees The coastline between Livorno and Grosetto in the south of Tuscany is still unspoilt. Vallicella Glamping Resort is located next to a hill at the foot of the hillside town of Scarlino. The, undulating Tuscan countryside is so beautiful it seems to have been taken straight out of a painting. The lively village of Follonica is located just 7 kilometres from the Mediterranean Sea. 130 metre long white water slide This lovely water park has not one, not two, but three swimming pools. Young adventurers can shoot 130 metres down the white water slide in no time, while the very youngest can splash around in the adjacent toddlers’ pool. Meanwhile, you can enjoy the crickets and the view of the rolling hills from the swimming pool. Lifeguards are on duty for your safety, so if you doze off in the Italian sun for a while, everything will be fine.   Play with Spotty the dog The covered outdoor area close to the swimming pool is specially equipped for the Spotty children’s club. There is fun activity to be enjoyed every minute of the day. And Spotty is of course the permanent guest. He brings a smile to all the faces during the games, workshops and shows. And anyone who wants to play by themselves can go to Spottyland. This colourful indoor playground is full of slides, play houses and swings.   Italian food with views If it’s a pizza you want, the campsite restaurant on the central square serves the freshest of the fresh. Grilled meat or fish is also on the menu. The lovely views from the terrace are an added bonus. The bar is the place for a delicious snack and the Enoteca wine bar is a good place to go to during the day. You can take part in wine tasting there, where local farmers pour their best wines for you.   Sleep in an old olive grove A cottage with a large patio, a wooden lodge with two floors or a luxurious glamping tent? All the accommodation is spread out across various terraces in an olive grove. Differences in height result in steep section on some parts of the grounds. You will find natural shade everywhere at Vallicella Glamping Resort, and the spacious camping pitches are very well maintained.   Boat trip to Elba Southern Tuscany is one big open air museum, and a trip to the island of Elba is extra special. It’s a one hour sail from Piombino to the capita Portoferraio. Follow in Napoleon’s footsteps and take a look at his former residence, Villa dei Mulini. Or take the cable car to the top of Monte Capanne, the highest mountain on Elba. You might even see the campsite on a clear day!
