About this stopover
The Squinting Cat is a family friendly venue, located on the outskirts of Harrogate in an idyllic countryside setting. The old coaching inn has been through many conversions, including our most recent refurbishment, which has taken the ‘old Cat' back to its roots as your favourite local pub.
The pub offers something for everyone, including an extensive range of cask ales, craft lagers & a collection of over 30 gins, as well as good quality food & our lovely beer garden. Our team are extremely friendly & passionnate about ‘their pub' and we all look forward to welcoming you.

Unfortunately the chef wasn't available, so we weren't able to eat there, but we were made very welcome, had a pint or two and were able to park our van overnight in the spacious carpark. No charge at all, which was very generous. On a good quiet lane, and although there are trees around, there's quite decent sky if you get a chance to do some stargazing.
