The quiet green family campground Benista in the south of Corsica appears a bit dated, but the simple facilities are sufficient for a stay. The nice thing about this campground is that each campsite is different. The sites are about 100 m2 and partially separated by hedges. The many trees on the site ensure that most campsites have some shade.
The beach of Porticcio is 1.8 km away, about a 10 minute drive from the campground. There is a small supermarket and a few other shops nearby. There are studios and bungalows to rent on the campground. Guests come here for the beautiful, broad white sandy beaches in the area, and the many sporty activities.Barbecuing togetherThere is a small but lovely swimming pool (170 m2) on the campground, which borders the river. There is a sports field and a little playground on site. Twice a week in the high season there is an activity program in French and English for the children. For young people from 13 through 18 years of age and for adults, there are also activities planned, such as a communal barbecue. There are regular competitions in ping pong, volleyball, badminton, jeu de boules and tennis.Many sportsYou can play tennis and mini golf for a fee. In the surrounding area there are plenty of options for water skiing, canoeing, diving, sailing, parasailing, horseback riding and there is a disco and a cinema in the area. You can spot wild boar on your walks.NapoleonYou can travel by boat from the port of Porticcio to Ajaccio. Here there is a market every evening with local products. Also visit the birthplace of Napoleon or the Lac de Tolla reservoir.
