In the South German Black Forest, near the town of Ühlingen-Birkendorf, you will find Camping Schlüchttal. You are here in the Rothauser Land, the region on the southern edge of the Hochschwarzwald close to Switzerland, which forms part of the much larger Southern Black Forest Nature Conservation Area. Schlüchttal is a modest campsite for nature lovers and walkers.
Tranquil and relaxedSchlüchttal is a tranquil, relaxing campsite where you are warmly welcomed by the just as laid-back owners. Most of the pitches are for permanent guests, but they also have 65 touring pitches. In addition, there are some rental mobile homes.A round of mini golfThe lack of a swimming pool is made up by a natural lake, the Naturena Badesee, which is located some 600 m from the campsite. To satisfy your appetite, there is the excellent Café Restaurant Waldschenke with terrace. Children will amuse themselves in the playground or challenge their parents to a round of mini golf.In the regionThe Black Forest, the largest forest area in Germany, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Federal Republic. The wooded surroundings are a paradise for walkers and nature lovers. The campsite lies directly on a 18 km long walking route. Beyond this, the Rothauser Land offers some 300 km of signposted walking trails.You will find a unique natural spectacle at a distance of some 18 km, namely the Wutachschlucht, a breathtaking canyon, which can justifiably be called 'the Grand Canyon of the Black Forest'. Yet another interesting outing is Sankt Blasien (distance of approx. 20 km), with its colossal cathedral.
