Nature in the far tip of Lower Normandy is rugged and mostly flat. Lovers of the Atlantic Ocean, of the beach, the sea and great walks will feel right at home at Camping La Ferme du Bord de Mer. This campsite is located on the grounds of an erstwhile farmhouse, one km from Barfleur, one of the many harbour towns of the Cotentin region.
Camping site in renovationThe spacious camping pitches are located alongside lanes. They are not very clearly demarcated, although you are not at risk of hammering your pegs into the tent of your neighbouring fellow campers. After all, the pitches are sufficiently spacious. The sanitary facilities are in need of some attention. Renovation work is scheduled for 2019.The groundsMobile homes are found on one section of the camping site . These stand under the trees, sheltered against the sun and probably against the wind. The two Coco Sweet rental tents are very nice and quirky. You can also book a lodge tent on this camping site. The most beautiful spots with your own camping equipment are to be found on the edge of the camping site. From here you have a splendid view of the bay. A narrow through road separates the camping site from the sea. Children who prefer to stay dry can amuse themselves in the playground. There is also a playroom available. Camping site breakfast in bedYou do not have to leave the camping site for your breakfast. Simply order croissants and baguettes from the bread store on the camping site. Other groceries can be bought at the camping site shop in high season. They have a limited stock of groceries. The bar is housed in one corner of the reception area.
