The North Italian campsite Campeggio Valle Gesso is situated close to the French border. You are camping here on the edge of the magnificent Maritime Alps Natural Park. This is an excellent spot for (mountain)hiking enthusiasts. There is also a 'via ferrata' in the vicinity, a safe mountain climbing route for beginners. The village of Entracque is within walking distance. Here you will find a few restaurants, bars and supermarkets.
Magnificent mountain viewThe well maintained campsite of Campeggio Valle Gesso is laid out in terraces and has a vegetation of deciduous trees, providing ample shade. The pitches are spacious, you have to park your car elsewhere. Caravans, mobile homes and tents are in separate sections. Each pitch offers a view of the mountains. There are rental chalets. There are two neat ablution blocks on the campsite.Swimming laps with a viewEach person has been catered for in the swimming pool area: there is a playful pool with water slide, a toddler pool with a depth of 60 cm with a mushroom water feature, a pool for swimming lengths and a sunbathing terrace with loungers and sun umbrellas. There is also a whirlpool. Bathing caps are compulsory here. From the swimming pool you have a splendid view of the surrounding mountain landscape.Sports entertainment for the entire familyChildren can enjoy themselves in the playground with climbing equipment, slides and seesaws. Also fun: challenge each other to a game of table tennis and table football. Furthermore, there are soccer and volleyball fields, a pool table and a petanque court.The beautiful area with water falls, streams, rocks and alpine meadows is extremely suitable for all kinds of outdoor sports. For instance: mountaineering, mountain hiking, fishing, rafting and horse riding. The campsite offers guided walking tours and excursion programmes.
