Campsite

The terraced campsite Zarautz is situated on a hill. From the lawn adjacent to the campsite you have a lovely view of the sea, the bay of Harautz and the mountains. This is a lovely spot to watch the sunset. Beach lovers and city visitors are keen to spend a few days here. In summer there is a shuttle bus from the campsite to the well-known water sports resort Zarautz.
Demarcated pitch On this well maintained camping site, guests have a demarcated pitch at their disposal of between 60 and 90 m2. At the edge of the camping site you have a lovely view of the area. There is a long and steep stairway (441 steps) which leads down to the beach of Zarautz. Once you have negotiated the stairway, you reach a splendid beach where surfers make the most of the waves.Pot-luckThe restaurant on the camping site is generally perceived as good. You can choose from the menu or go for the table d’hôte, for which the chef prepares a simple but tasty meal. The camping site shop has a fair range of groceries (also daily fresh bread). Surfers' paradise The tranquil, large camping site forms a good base for visits to the beach and city trips. There is only a limited range of play equipment and no entertainment programme or swimming pool. None of these are necessary, as there are ample opportunities to play on the beach and swim in the sea.  The waves along the 2 km long beach of Zauratz are popular with surfers. And paragliders love using the hill as a launching spot.
