The Austrian campsite Putterersee is a very pleasant, quiet campsite, situated along a small lake at 2 km distance from the town of Aigen im Ennstal (Steiermark). Cows graze peacefully all day on the adjacent meadows. All around you there you will see green grass, sloping hills and woods. On the lake you can show off your sporty side: paddle surfing, canoeing and swimming.
The attractive groundsCamping Putterersee is a very neat and perfectly maintained campsite with 70 touring pitches on grass. The grounds are spacious, level and is located between surrounding farmhouses. You also have a view of the Putterersee and the often lavishly flowering meadows and surrounding green hills. Enjoy the ambience, peace and quiet so appreciated by many campers.There are only two pitches for campers. You can also rent overnight accommodation on the campsite, such as a lovely apartment, room or hiker hut.Swimming in a warm lakeThe lake is unique because of its relatively warm water, which makes swimming here really enjoyable. There is a long jetty leading into the water and there is a modest sandy beach. You can float around in your inflatable boat or go canoeing/kayaking. A very good idea here: paddle surfing!Typical Austrian ImbissThe campsite has a small shop for daily necessities. A small supermarket is found 2 km away, in Aigen im Ennstal. You can eat in the Imbiss, obviously with typical Austrian look and decor.Sanitary facilitiesThe sanitary facilities are amazingly well designed, certainly for a transit campsite. It is generous in size and very clean. All shower rooms have a separate wash basin.
