Campsite Le Lac des Varennes is situated in the south of the Sarthe, in the region of Marçon. You will find lots of opportunities here for canoeing, fishing, windsurfing and waterskiing. Adjacent to the campsite there is a 50 ha lake on the one side and the Loir River on the other side. In the vicinity of the campsite there are all kinds of opportunities for walking and fishing.
Camping between waterThe grounds are tidy with good, paved pathways. The camping site actually consists of two sections. Both sections have two sanitary buildings. These were renovated in 2013 and look spotless. The circular section of the camping site borders the sandy beach by the lake. The pitches here are demarcated with hedges. In addition, there are several types of rental accommodations (such as bungalow tents, mobile homes, chalet homes and a Tit'home).Activities by and on the lakeThe camping site is located on a lake and the adjacent beach consists partly of sand and partly of grass. It lies in full sun, but there are a few sun umbrellas for some shade. The lake makes this a very popular camping site for families with small children, but also among anglers and water sports enthusiasts.You can practice your skills in several sports on the camping site, such as tennis, pétanque and beach volleyball. Entertainment for children and adults is organised in peak season. For instance, sports tournaments, live music and karaoke.Dining with a viewIn July and August, the café-restaurant is open and you can choose from a limited menu. You can enjoy your meal with a view of the lake.
