Camping Village Adriatico is located to the south of Venice, on the Adriatic Sea in the community of Sottomarina of Chioggia. It is a clean and charming campground that has limited space due to its location in town, so the sites, access drives and the manoeuvering space is limited. It is not a campground for large caravans or campers. In addition to the shady campsites, there are mobile homes and chalets to hire.
City camping on the beachThe campground has a swimming pool and a playground for the children. The swimming pool is in a central location with a less lovely view of the apartment blocks bordering the campground. There is a restaurant annex bar (also take-aways) and a small campground shop for just the necessities. Through the city location of the campground, there are legions of shops and restaurants in the neighbourhood. The beach, as is so often divided up in Italy, is reached by crossing the street from the campground. There is a private area of the campground with lounges and parasols (for a fee).Little VeniceAdriatico is only a stone's throw away from the beach. If you want to go to Venice, you can take a boat from Chioggia. it's an hour's drive from the campground to Venice. A visit to nearby Chioggia is really worth the effort, which lives up to its name of Little Venice. There is also a lovely picturesque market once a week on Thursdays, one of the largest in the Veneto region.
