Camping de Châlons-en-Champagne is situated in a green suburb of the town of the same name, approx. 2.5 km from the centre. This campsite is a good base for visiting the town and the Champagne region and is situated next to a fish pond. The grounds are well-tended and offer camping pitches on grass or hardened surfaces with shade trees and occasionally separated by hedges.
On a separate section of the grounds are some 10 static caravans available for rent. There are hardened sites for campers and there is a service station. The facilities are modest and are mainly used by overnight guests.Centre of champagneChâlons-en-Champagne is the centre of the champagne production in the vineyards around the town. The campsite is a convenient base for visiting the town and the surrounding vineyards.Sport and gamesThe campsite is mainly frequented by people who visit the vineyards and wine cellars of the Champagne. The campsite is also popular with travellers on their way to the south. The facilities are therefore limited; there is no swimming pool or lake to swim in.However, there is a mini-golf course, tennis court, petanque pitch, children playground, snack bar and convenience store. Fishing in the lake is allowed. The nearest supermarket is 200 m away.
