Camping Le Chanet is a terraced campsite located against a ridge. The campsite is situated in the vicinity of Ornans, in the Jura mountains. The emphasis of the campsite is on environmental awareness (no chlorine in the swimming pool, preventing water wastage). The layout if the campsite is very natural and you will enjoy the lovely view of the mountainous landscape.
Ornans is certainly worth a visit because of its good quality restaurants and a few interesting museums. The area is not very touristy and makes for good cycling and walking.Natural campsite with lots of greeneryWhen you arrive at the campsite, you will first see the reception building and the petanque pitches. At the back of the building, you will find the sanitary facilities, supplemented by a massage bench, solarium and fitness room.To get to your pitch, you have to drive up a slope to one of the side streets. Some pitches are demarcated; the pitches on the upper field are open. The mobile homes and playground equipment are located in the middle of the campsite. The campsite has a natural look, with lots of greenery. The view of the surrounding mountains is a daily source of pleasure. Campers have a choice of different kinds of pitches, all spacious. They vary in view, shade and privacy.Environmentally-friendly swimming poolThe swimming pool is cleansed in an environmentally friendly manner with plants. They use no chlorine whatsoever. Adjacent to the swimming pool are the snack bar and childcare. In the mornings you can get a delicious packed breakfast from the snack bar. In the camping shop at the reception you will find basic foodstuffs and essentials.
