Camping River is located on the River Magra, close to the Ligurian coast and the Mediterranean Sea. With its large swimming pool and quite spacious touring pitches, overlooking the hills, it is a good place to stay. Bear in mind that the facilities on the campsite are rather basic. Camping River is a good base for trips to Cinque Terre, Lucca and Pisa.
Camping between river and seaThe land between river and sea consists for a large part of green hills. This terrain accommodates almost two hundred flat pitches, which are certainly quite spacious by Italian standards. The delimitated pitches are tidy and get enough shade. The hills in the background only lose their height when they reach the Mediterranean Sea. The steep rocks with afforestation make a pretty picture. Especially when you sail along the coast with a boat.Large swimming poolsOn the edge of the campsite, near the river, there are two large swimming pools. For swimming laps there is a separate competition pool, while the other pool is mainly for fun and games in the water. A separate paddling pool ensures that even the youngest water enthusiasts have fun.Basic facilitiesThe facilities on the campsite are quite simple. There are sufficient , well cleaned sanitary facilities, but very old-fashioned. The assortment in the small shop is very small. Luckily you only have to drive five minutes for more extensive groceries. If you want to take it easy, get a takeaway meal from the campsite restaurant.
