Campsite Domaine du Surchauffant

Campsite Domaine du Surchauffant is by the blue-green water of Lac de Vouglans. At this campsite, there is plenty for water(sport) lovers to do. Moor your own boat at the moorings by the campsite and in the summer, you can also follow water-skiing lessons. This terraced campsite is situated in the unspoilt countryside of the Jura Mountains. A path through the woods takes you to the sandy beach by the lake. The vast, countryside campsite undergoes daily maintenance.

Heated outdoor swimming poolFor those who like the water, there is a heated outdoor swimming pool at the campsite. The toddler pool is separated from the big pool by a fence, so the little ones can play safely. Follow a path through the woods, down the steps to the wonderful sandy beach by the turquoise Lac de Vouglans. Life guards supervise the beach by this 35 kilometre lake in July and August. It is a perfect fishing spot, if you cast out your line you can catch zander and pollen. During the summer months, there is a KidsClub for the children and there is an entertainment programme for adults. In the protected nature park, Parc Naturel Régional du Haut Jura, opposite the campsite you can discover the stunning flora and fauna of the Jura. By mountain bike, horse or foot you will encounter wonderful lakes and waterfalls. There are various routes past the campsite. You can hire mountain bikes for children and adults at the campsite.Exceptional diving spotTake your diving gear and discover La Chartreuse de Vaucluse Abbey, that lies 40 metres under the surface of the water.
