In Central France, in the western part of the picturesque hilly Burgundy winelands, lies Camping Merry-sur-Yonne. The idyllic Yonne river flows near the campsite, as does the Nivernais Canal. The campsite is an oasis of tranquillity in a beautiful region with vineyards, castles and attractive villages.
Stunning viewAs soon as you arrive, you will notice the beautiful layout with rows of trees, as well as the lovely view. The pitches are spacious and diverse. The most beautiful pitches are located on the perimeter and offer magnificent views. The surface is mainly grassy. There are also ten pitches with a hardened surface. Like to take things easy? Book a B&B or rent a pod (a type of tent-like wooden cabin).Tennis, canoeing and cyclingOn the camping site, there are numerous facilities for you to enjoy: a sports field, a game hall, a playground for the little ones and a large outdoor chess game. Next to the camping site, you will find some tennis courts. There is also plenty to do in the immediate vicinity. In Merry-sur-Yonne you can climb a rock formation, the so-called ‘Rochers du Saussois’. You can also go canoeing and fishing here. You can get to the river from the picnic spot near the entrance.Charming restaurantThe reception, shop and restaurant are located in the large, old building at the entrance of the camping site. It also has a bar and a terrace. The restaurant is tastefully and creatively decorated. The shop has a limited selection.Comfortable sanitary facilitiesThe sanitary facilities consist of luxury bathrooms with a toilet, a shower and a washbasin. The facilities were fully renovated and comfortably equipped in 2016.
