Minicamping Rocca di Sotto
Campsite

You will find the small agri campsite of Rocca di Sotto near the village of Roccafinadamo. Here you are in the mountain area of the Gran Sasso at the foot of the national park by the same name. This mini campsite is mainly geared towards active tent campers. This terraced campsite is less suitable for caravans and large motorhomes. Guests will find ample freedom and privacy and enjoy the magnificent view. On a clear night you can admire the beautiful starry skies.
One with natureThis campsite has eighteen non-demarcated pitches measuring 40 to 50 m2. There is ample space with some scattered low vegetation of bushes and century-old olive trees. The tents are spread over the campsite at generous distance of each other. Nature lovers can camp along the river, some 300 metres lower down. There are also two tents and a trekker hut for rent. Organic farm Camping The organic vegetable garden of the mini campsite is considered a communal project. Campers are welcome to assist with the harvesting and upkeep of the garden. The managers have chickens and two slow-food pigs that forage in the walnut forest. At Rocca di Sotta you can purchase various homegrown products as wine, fruit, vegetables and herbs from the vegetable garden. The terrace offers a splendid view where you can also enjoy breakfast.Sporty hikesEspecially sporty tent campers from the Netherlands come to visit this campsite. The manager organises regular guided hikes for these guests. On the grounds, which measure some 10 ha, you can go for a walk to the mountain brook. During this walk you will come across a large number of fruit and walnut trees.
