Hertugbyens Camping is a simple but quiet campground located in South-Jutland on a fjord, about 10 km from Sønderborg. The campground is in a beautiful location in the midst of nature, where you have greenery all around you. The property borders directly the Augustenborg fjord and is also sensitive to wind. There is a lovely sandy beach along the fjord.
Peace, quiet and greeneryPeace, quiet, simplicity and greenery are high on the list here, you'll feel it immediately. To retain this, you'll not find any luxury or activities on the campground, and you'll have to leave the campground for a restaurant or shop.Sleeping by the fjordThe campground is located next to the castle park of Augustenborg. The property is actually the land of an old farm that belonged to the castle. The sometimes hilly terrain has sites without shade and with some shade (few trees) on a well-maintained grass ground. There are many green hedges between the non-separated campsites and there are a number of trekkers huts with small verandas on the property, for 2 to 6 people. The lane of Castle Augustenborg is used to walk to the water from the nearby fjord.Active on holidayThe fjord offers various options for swimming and sports. Get into nature in the beautiful environment and visit the villages and towns in the immediate vicinity, they are very charming.Sanitary facilitiesThe sanitation facilities are good and sufficiently clean in the high seasons, but can leave something to be desired in the quieter periods.
