Art and culture town Lodève is situated in the Hérault, in the south of France. This is confluence of the Lergue and the Soulondre rivers. With the old Saint-Fulcran cathedral, an episcopal palace which these days houses the City Hall as well as impressive mansions, the town has justifiably earned a place on the Unesco World Heritage List. Campsite Les Vals is a fantastic base from which to explore Lodève. You camp here at a distance of only 2 km from the town centre.
Camping guests from all corners of the worldLes Vals is a neat, medium-sized camping site where especially the sports-minded camping guests will feel at home. The pitches are generally spacious and reasonably level. Some of them are slightly sloping. So do not forget those wedges. Trees and hedges determine the size of the pitch.Swimming and the Lac de SalagouDirectly in front of the camping restaurant you will find an attractive swimming pool surrounded by loungers and sun umbrellas with nice thatched roofs. The walls are made from large boulders and it has an overall unique ambiance. There is a separate children's pool. Next to the swimming pool you will find the restaurant with a wide selection: from a snack to a full menu.You can reach the Lac du Salagou via a small paved road. This is perfect for sailing, surfing and swimming. Or do nothing and 'work' on your holiday tan on the small beaches or the lawns. Shopping In peak season you can get a limited selection of foodstuffs at the reception. You can do your other shopping in the shops in Lodève.
