To the north of the popular seaside resort of Pornic, just five hundred metres from the elongated sandy beach, Camping du Vieux Château is a great destination for the whole family. From the campsite, which is situated in the middle of a quiet residential area, you can walk to the restaurants and shops in the town centre within a few minutes.
Compact campsiteThe compact campsite is well-organised and has slightly more mobile homes and chalets than touring pitches. A number of trees and shrubs provide shade, but there are also many pitches for sun lovers. You have quite a bit of space on the pitch itself, but there is less space between the pitches.Always swimmingAt the entrance, the swimming pool and the bar form the heart of the campsite. In the summer months there is plenty of liveliness, but always in a friendly way. Even when the weather is not so good, you can enjoy a nice swim at Camping du Vieux Château. The water is heated to 28 degrees and has a glass canopy.Bite and drinkThe bar (open mid-June to mid-September) is a great place for a drink or snack. In the summer months there are pizzas on the menu and you can order bread for the next morning. For daily shopping there is a supermarket about three kilometers away. Or stroll through the weekly market in Tharon-Plage for fresh fruit, vegetables and fish.Fun and gamesFor children there is an enclosed playground with a trampoline, swings and a slide. But there is also plenty to do outside the campsite. For example on the child-friendly beach to which you walk in only a few minutes.
