Camping De Lente van Drenthe is located at the edge of the Gieten-Borger forestry. Located nearby is the beach resort of Het Nije Hemelriek, a natural large freshwater lake with sandy beaches. It is surrounded by lovely forests. You camp here in an ideal spot for seekers of peace, lovers of hiking and cycling and families with (small) children.
Spacious fieldsThe well maintained property is divided into spacious camping fields on a lovely lawn. Here and there you'll see a playground with a sandbox. Each field is surrounded by varied thickets that provide shelter. The pitches are also spacious. The numerous annual pitches and chalets are separate from the tourist pitches. Luxury lodge tents with sanitation facilities are also for hire on this campsite.Beach in the forestAcross from the reception and the bar is the modest, rectangular swimming pool. There is a separate wading pool for the little ones. The beach is a few sizes bigger and is in a lush location amongst the greenery. you'll find it at a couple of hundred metres from the campsite. You can walk there on a forest path. There are wide sandy beaches around the water. In the summer of 2019 the campsite opened a large water park, DX Adventure park.Playground, sports fields and amphitheatrethere's plenty to do for children, from playground and deer park to sports pitches (tennis, soccer, volleyball) and activities for all ages (craft club, performances). Camping guests can also play on the jeu de boules pitch, table tennis tables, in the recreation room and in the amphitheatre.The small camping shop has a limited assortment and fresh bread every day. There is also a terrace. There is a restaurant near the beach.
