In the hilly interior of the Maremma (Tuscany) region, not far from the village of Scarlino, you will find Vallicella Camping Village. It is a large, rather new campsite in a beautiful green area some seven kilometres from the coast. Apart from relaxing on the campsite, you can go on numerous excursions in beautiful Tuscany.
Camping in an olive groveVallicella is a beautifully laid-out terraced camping site in a century-old olive grove, located on a hillside and surrounded by oak trees and Mediterranean shrubs. Everything looks well-tended and the camping grounds are rich with greenery. The pitches (240 in total) are spacious, offer ample shade and are well-demarcated. As a result, they offer ample privacy. In addition to camping pitches, rental accommodations are also available in the form of bungalows (from two to six persons).What is available on this camping site?There is a restaurant-pizzeria with a limited menu (takeaway also possible) and a terrace with a beautiful view. There is a bar where you can enjoy a cappuccino or a drink and for your daily shopping, you have to go to the small supermarket. In high season Vallicella attracts mainly families with children.There are two swimming pools and a separate toddler pool with ample surrounding space for loungers and sun umbrellas. You can play a game of tennis or soccer and there is a playground for the little ones. Of course, in high season you have the usual entertainment with sports, games and activities.Sanitary facilitiesThe sanitary facilities, divided over various buildings, are in need of a facelift but are neat and tidy. They are also kept spotless in high season.
