Just east of the beautiful city of Avignon, Fontisson campsite is located next to the village of Châteauneuf-de-Gadagne. This part of southern France, the Vaucluse, is the heart of Provence. Beautiful natural areas, ancient castles and lovely towns make this a relaxing and diverse destination. On the campsite's central square is the outdoor swimming pool, the shop and in the summer months a nice restaurant.
Spacious under the treesThe flat, spacious pitches are a particular advantage of this well-tended campsite. The terrain is slightly sloping and full of trees. There are also plenty of sunny corners. Some pitches are delimited, others are not. The sanitary facilities are clean, but not new. What is new is the possibility of renting private sanitary facilities if you are camping on a touring pitch.Swimming and relaxingFancy a refreshing dip? There is a rectangular swimming pool on the outside of the campsite. There are several shaded areas, but you can also dry off in the sun on one of the sunbeds. In summer the swimming pool is even open until 23.00 and beautifully lit.Eating on the patioDuring the summer months, you can have a bite to eat on the patio of the restaurant. On some evenings, there is live music. You can also have a nice breakfast, because fresh rolls are available in the morning.Tennis, mini-golf and pony ridesNobody gets bored at Fontisson campsite. Sports enthusiasts can go to the tennis court, the fitness room or the aqua gym class. Or play a game of mini golf, jeu-de-boules or table tennis. Young children will have fun on the bouncy castle and in the high season they can go pony riding every week.
