De Vossenburcht campsite is located just north of 'De Zwarte Dennen', a recreation area that is part of a larger nature reserve in IJhorst. You will find this campsite on the border between Overijssel and Drenthe. The road leading to family campsite De Vossenburcht runs through beautiful and expansive fields, with plenty of nature and picturesque farms in a wooded area. The surroundings are therefore highly suitable for beautiful cycling and hiking trips. When you arrive back at the campsite, you can have a bite to eat at the campsite restaurant (with bar).
Camping in comfortHere, you will find yourself on a clean and well-maintained campsite with neat grassy pitches. The pitches are landscaped with plenty of greenery. De Vossenburcht is a true family campsite and caters to families with children, although seniors regularly come and stay at the campsite as well. The comfort pitches are spacious camping pitches with electricity, water and drainage. These pitches measure approximately 100m2 in size. There is little traffic on the fields with the comfort pitches. The comfort pitches are located near the sanitary building. The campsite also offers an extensive range of rental accommodations, such as holiday homes, tent homes, cabins, cottages, luxury mobile homes and even a real treehouse.Heated swimmingCamping de Vossenburcht features a heated outdoor swimming pool with a special paddling area for the little ones. Recreation area 'De Zwarte Dennen', which is maintained by Staatsbosbeheer (the Dutch forestry commission) also has recreational lake, where children can play in safety.children's campsiteCamping De Vossenburcht is one of the most fun children's campsites in the Netherlands. In the peak season, the entertainment team from TOP Recreatie provides a fun entertainment programme for the children. Every morning, they can join in with the arts & crafts at the new entertainment building, De Burcht. The afternoons are devoted to sports and games and there are shows in the evenings. Being bored is really not an option here...
